Cold Harbour Hard Seltzer

Over lockdown whilst on furlough my partner Tom and his friend, Craig decided to put their years of marketing and hospitality experience to good use and set up their own hard seltzer business.

Having lived in the States for the past few years, Craig had witnessed first hand the huge growth of the hard seltzer market and the business opportunity it presented itself as an emerging product in the UK.

They commissioned me to create the brand identity for their new business venture, extending into website design, packaging, marketing and sales collateral and social media assets in addition to art directing photography.

The first thing which became apparent when I started researching the hard seltzer market was that nearly every single brand has their product packaged in an almost all white tall slim can. In order to stand out from the crowd and to convey the message of crafted (unlike many other hard seltzer brands, Cold Harbour is brewed like a craft beer, uses Champagne yeast and infused with real fruit and botanical flavours like a premium gin) we decided to take an more disruptive approach and took inspiration from the premium and more forward thinking craft beer brands such as Beavertown, Camden and Mikkeller.
