Resonance by Heston Blumenthal is the latest libationary and culinary offering from The Fat Duck Group.
The brief was to create a brand identity for a luxury bar concept which spoke to the meaning of the word ‘resonance’ - the power to evoke enduring memories and emotions.
I kept coming back to the idea of Resonance growing outwards, inspired by growth in nature like ripples on a pond or branches on a tree. Each person that interacts with the logo will have a different experience and will resonate with it differently. Do you see a birds eye view of a tree, the neurons in our brains, or coral branching outwards?
At the heart of the logo is an illustration of a shell, representing the venues coastal location of Dubai and the Fibonacci sequence which is an important theme throughout the interior design and the food and drink offer.
I created a series of illustrations to accompany the menu which bring to life various ideas explored through the food and drink. Themes include mindfulness, fractals, the Fibonacci sequence, nostalgia and memories.
